Dr None Ramonate is a Gastroenterologist at Universitas Private Hospital in Bloemfontein. He specializes in management of disorders of the digestive system.
Dr Ramonate treasures moments when he sees his patients become healthy and normal society participants. That is why he did his family medicine degree. His qualifications have broadened his spectrum of services with more than 26 years of experience.
He was born and raised in the Kingdom of Lesotho, where he acquired his BSc degree in 1986. He came to South Africa to broaden his studies and career. He acquired his MBChB in 1994 at the University of Cape Town and, after that, he came to Bloemfontein where he obtained his MFamMed in 1999, his MMed in 2004 from UFS and his Cert.Gastro in 2007 at the College of Medicine of South Africa.
The public healthcare sector allowed Dr Ramonate to gain more experience and an enhanced perspective that reinforces him to adapt and enables him to care for a broader spectrum of the population and communities.
His milestones in life include becoming a gastroenterologist and senior lecturer at the faculty of medicine, where he teaches young and up and coming doctors.
He opened his private practice doors in 2007, which is an established practice today. He however scaled down the private practice in 2011 after being appointed as a senior lecturer and principal specialist at Universitas academic hospital complex.
He participates in RWOPS doctor in order to serve both the private and public sectors.
Dr Ramonate has been involved in outreach programs that took him to Welkom, Bethlehem, Kroonstad and Qwa-Qwa regional hospitals to provide necessary medical treatment.
Dr Ramonate is passionate about medicine and focuses on the health of the digestive system.
Dr Ramonate treats many patients with esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, small and large intestinal diseases including ulcers. He has a special interest in management of HIV related disorders.
He has been very fortunate to have his family with him and spend time with them. Dr Ramonate is a sports fanatic and enjoys watching soccer and athletics. In his recreational time, he enjoys long walks and taking care of his vegetable garden.
He is still very active and proud that he walked and finished the Moshoeshoe Walk to commemorate the legacy of the founder, King of the Basotho nation.
He is a member of Lesotho Evangelical Church in Southern Africa (LECSA).
